More to Pyramids?
Overview
In this spiritual topic, we take a look at pyramids and the mysteries surrounding them.
The pyramids in Egypt and Machu Picchu are so significant that they are officially considered to be two of the seven wonders of the world. Whilst Machu Picchu is not often thought of as a pyramid, the city was built following the distinctive Inca architecture of a truncated pyramid.
Many people are fascinated by pyramids and the various mysteries surrounding them. Yet, why have we been drawn primarily to just the pyramids in Egypt? It feels as if the other pyramids have been hidden from view. Isn’t it odd that scientists have not compared the characteristics of the many pyramids that reside around the world?
Mainstream beliefs suggest the Great Pyramids of Giza in Egypt were constructed around 2,600 BC and that they were built as a final resting place for Egyptian kings to be buried. However, the history behind these massive structures implies the probability that they were created much earlier and perhaps have additional purposes. One thing is certain; they were crafted with exact care, measurements, orientation, and dimensions and for very significant reasons. To date, no human remains relating to King/Queen have been found in any pyramid.
The so-called King’s chamber and Queen’s chamber were named by Egyptologists. According to the Encyclopedia Brittanica, the pyramids were named after the kings for whom they were built—Khufu, Khafre, and Menkaure. The northernmost and oldest pyramid of the group was built for Khufu, the second king of the 4th dynasty. Referred to as the Great Pyramid, it is the largest of the three, the length of each side at the base averaging 755.75 feet (230 metres) and its original height being 481.4 feet (147 metres). (1)
Conveniently for modern Egyptologists, the name ‘Khufu’ was found scrawled at the very top of the Great Pyramid in red paint. Initial reports were that British treasure-seekers or ‘fakers’ had added this name to answer the question, “Who built the pyramid?” These claims were quickly discounted by the mainstream and were not further discussed.
Graham Hancock, a travelling journalist who hunts for evidence of mysterious, lost civilisations dating back to the last ice age, doesn’t agree with the burial explanation. He indicates, “...the body of Pharoh has never been found in the Great Pyramid. The Great Pyramid was found to be completely empty when it was first opened by the Arabs in the 9th century.” He goes on to state that the unfinished burial chamber routine is “just absolute nonsense. These people knew exactly what they were doing. Everything that they did had a purpose.” (2)
Khufu’s pyramid is thought to be the largest single building ever constructed on the planet. The most common explanation of the creation of this Great Pyramid was completed by locating, cutting, transporting, and assembling approximately 2.3 million blocks weighing nearly 6 million tons in total.
There are many notions about how this massive building was erected. Some believe the pyramids were built using slave labour, while others indicate it was paid labourers. There are differences in opinion on the actual construction process as well. Did ancient Egyptians use unique ramps, staircases, and a rope and pulley system to construct the 5.75-million-ton structure? Or were the pyramids created by another civilization from another star system, or perhaps by God?
Unless there was divine or otherworldly assistance, wouldn’t it have taken a really long time to complete this construction?
“Indeed, a number of popular writers have speculated that ancient artifacts such as the pyramids and giant stone sculptures must have been fashioned by advanced visitors from another planet—for surely primitive man could not have possessed by himself the required technology? ... But since these writers usually fail to show when, how and, above all, from where such ancient astronauts did come—their intriguing questions remain unanswered speculations.”—Zecharia Sitchin, The 12th Planet (Book 1 of the Earth Chronicles) (3)
Miles Augustus Navarr addresses this topic in his book, Forbidden Theology: Origin of Scriptural God: “The arithmetic is simple. There are an estimated 2.3 to 2.5 million slabs, weighing between 2.5 to 40 tons each. If people worked ten hours a day non-stop for twenty years, they had to position one rock in place every 100 seconds or less than two minutes. An impossible feat to accomplish even today, especially when we consider that this time frame includes quarrying, cutting, transportation as well as placement.” (4)
Some ten years ago, Simon Parkes, working to the same mathematical formula as Miles Augustus Navarr, came up with a very similar result. However, he also factored in the following: The current Egyptian Government refuses to accept that the workers who built the pyramid were slaves; therefore, we have to factor in rest breaks, holidays, etc. That aside, of greater difficulty for the established thinking is the fact that the Nile floods every year. The workers on the construction would have been diverted to plant their crops and then harvest, and many weeks of lost construction would have occurred. Simon’s calculations, which were agreed to by the British Museum, London, showed far in excess of a 25-year build period.
In his book Slave Species of the Gods, Michael Tellinger also questions the traditional explanations regarding how the pyramids were built. “The Sumerian texts give us a very different version of the pyramids’ origins, and again these seem to make much more practical sense than any of the more popularized versions. It was the talented Ningishzidda whom the Egyptians worshipped as The Divine Measurer who planned, measured, modeled, and perfectly built the three pyramids of Giza. His reason was far more pressing than a giant tomb to be buried in.” Tellinger goes on to explain that The Lost Book of Enki suggests the great flood had wiped out the Anunnaki’s support structures for spacecraft take-offs and landings and that the pyramids, with their galleries and chambers for pulsating crystals, were created to address this need. (5)
While the mystery and many unanswered questions about the Giza pyramids remain, researchers continue to uncover intriguing information about the precision of the Great Pyramid. Graham Hancock states that the monument “knows where it is” and “what it is.” The mathematical formula of Pi has been found in the pyramid. The pyramid stands one-third of the way between the equator and the north pole. According to Hancock, “When you take the height of the pyramid and multiply it by a particular value, by 43,200, you get an exact printout of the polar radius of the Earth. And when you take the base perimeter of the great pyramid and multiply it by the same value, 43,200, you get the printout of the equatorial circumference of the Earth.” (6)
It has been said that the speed of light (299,792,458 meters per second) directly corresponds with the coordinates of the Great Pyramid of Giza (29.9792458 degrees North). Although this statement is controversial, it is worth looking into and researching further.
The three pyramids in Egypt precisely represent the three stars in Orien’s Belt, connecting them with the Sirius/Sirus star system. Souls who have come from Sirius/Sirus often experience some kind of connection with Egypt. Other soul groups also associate with the pyramids in Egypt. Many who are waking up to their soul history and getting snippets of past life recalls are having remembrances of living during the pyramid times in Egypt. With this comes a sense of magic, the energy of hidden knowledge, and a deep knowing. It makes one wonder why this time in our history was so important.
Ancient pyramids have also been found all around the world. According to the World History Encyclopedia, “There are over 5,000 pyramids currently on this Earth, on different continents, and made with a range of materials.” (7)
We often think of pyramids as triangular in shape, but they come in a variety of shapes and sizes. Many pyramids are stepped instead of flat-sided. An example of stepped pyramids are those located in Teotihuacan, Mexico.
One of the most debated pyramid topics relates to their purpose. As noted above, the most prevalent theory is that pyramids were built as burial chambers for kings and queens. Applying a logic check, if no King or Queen has been found buried in a pyramid, why would anybody assume that was their purpose? Some researchers suggest the burial explanation was fabricated for the general public. They believe that pyramids were built for entirely different reasons, such as connecting with the higher realms, channeling energy, and cleansing and purifying. Additional theories are included below.
Dr Sam Osmanagich has visited many pyramids, including the Koh Ker Pyramid in Cambodia. Osmanagich indicates there are seven levels to the Cambodia pyramid; the lengths of the sides are 66 meters or 216.54 feet. Building blocks used vary in size and weight. In the first six rows, blocks weigh between 500kg and 2000kg (1102.31 - 4409.25 pounds). Near the top of the pyramid, the blocks are larger, reaching up to seven tons. At the top of the pyramid, the blocks create a square frame decorated with Hindu designs. Interestingly, the gods are holding not the Earth but the sky in their hands. Perhaps the most intriguing feature of the Koh Ker Pyramid outlined by Osmanagich is that it’s an energy amplifier. He poses the very question we are contemplating here, “...who was the architect who had consolidated the knowledge of geodesy, astronomy, construction engineering, and cosmogony?” (8)
Osmanagich goes on to indicate that other architects building pyramids around the world had this same knowledge. He points to numerous examples of pyramids with an energy beam at the top, including: the Kukulkan Pyramid on the Yucatan (Mexico), the Mayan Pyramid in Palenque (Mexico), Tikal (Guatemala), Copan (Honduras), the Pyramid of the Sun and Moon in Teotihuacan (Mexico), the Cheops and Khafre Pyramids in Giza (Egypt), Shanshi Pyramids (China), Bosnian Pyramids of the Sun and the Moon (Bosnia), and the Gunung Padang Pyramid in west Java (Indonesia). (9)
On the other side of the world, scientist John Burke conducted electromagnetic energy enhancement research on pyramids in Central America. Burke scanned pyramid complexes in Central America and learned that they were designed with a high level of precision. He also learned about a specific pyramid at Tikal (known as The Mundo Perdido or ‘Lost World’) located in an ancient Maya city in Guatemala, which was used by the local farmers to enhance their seeds. Burke and his research partner Kaj Halberg discovered electromagnetic signatures that measured impressive charges on top of the pyramid and also uncovered a means of generating and perhaps distributing electromagnetic energy within a pyramid complex. (10)
According to Cliff Dunning, host/producer of the podcast Earth Ancients: Startling New Discoveries from our Planets Distant Past, “We now understand that at a number of Maya pyramids there are key components designed into their construction that act as magnifiers. These components appear to be important in the creation, magnification, and distribution of telluric fields.” He goes on to detail that these components include water, geomagnetic fields, pyramid design, and pyramid interior fill. (11)
Perhaps one of the most fascinating recent discoveries is the satellite images of Antarctica’s uninhabited southernmost continent showing three snow-covered pyramids.
The pyramid structures in Antarctica align with the compass (north-south-east-west), similar to other pyramids, including those found in Giza. The largest pyramid in Antarctica is ten times the size of the largest Giza pyramid, putting it at about 2,200 meters or 7,218 feet! (12)
The Antarctica pyramid discovery set off a flurry of speculations and theories, including the possibility of a lost ancient civilization from millions of years ago that could have been a precursor to humans, that perhaps Antarctica hasn’t been a frozen continent for as long as we have been taught, and a Map of the Ancient Sea Kings which suggests Antarctica was inhabited 6,000 years ago. Other theories are less exciting and suggest these structures are not pyramids at all and instead are simply massive ice-capped mountains.
Another pyramid camouflaged in nature can be found in the Caribbean. Archeologist Raymond Julien ‘discovered’ the Sugar Loaf Island Pyramid, which is covered with lava and tropical trees. This massive pyramid doesn’t follow the nearby natural landscape pattern of rolling hills. “It’s an oddity, to say the least. Mother Nature doesn’t make volcanic islands in the shape of pyramids,” says Julien. He goes on to suggest that this pyramid is evidence of the lost civilisation of Atlantis because it fits with Plato’s story of Atlantis’ destruction by volcanic eruption and earthquakes, as well as the pyramid’s partially submerged state, which places it around the time of the last ice age meltdown. (13) Many CC Caribbean members have seen ‘mountains’ that, upon erosion, appear to be pyramids, and these are beginning to be researched as well.
Of course, these are just the pyramids on Earth....There are also pyramids on Mars and maybe other planets too!
There are so many pyramids for us to research, study, and/or visit. In doing our own research, we can consider which aspects resonate and where and why there may be gaps or even misinformation provided. Regardless of one’s preferred theories, we can look at these wonderous structures with an open heart, curiosity, and awe, knowing deep within us they have very significant meaning for humanity and our combined history with Mother Earth and the galaxy around us.
