CC Canada "Inspiration" Journal - May 2024

If you recall, a few months ago, we combined our two Journals into one bilingual Inspiration Journal. When we did so, we had changed the publishing date to give ourselves more time. Now, we will gently move back towards publishing earlier this month and, with some luck, next month and going forward, we will be sending out the Inspiration Journal on the first of each month.

Exciting and New

We held our first Humanitarian Showcase yesterday evening and it was very well attended. Members who have written a Project Proposal for funding, have been invited to give members a five minute oral presentation, and then take questions.

The Humanitarian Showcase is a beautiful way for Project Writers to share their vision with the members of CC Canada as a United Country. This is a historic moment where we can share information, brainstorm ideas and get inspired - together!

The Next Showcase dates are: 

May 29, June 12, June 26 at 4 pm PT or 7 pm ET.

SIGNAL

Last week we sent you a letter informing all member that we have opened two new SIGNAL groups, one in English and one in French. This channel is for emergency communications only. If you would like to join us, please complete the form on our website  SIGNAL FORM

 Phone Buddy

We are so pleased to have this initiative in the early roll out phase. We now have two Phone Buddy volunteers, who are communicating weekly with four members. We also have nine members in process, who will volunteer to connect with members. This is a lovely CC Canada opportunity.

Celebration

The Eastern Celebration is Aug 9-11, in Arnprior ON - 45 mins West of Ottawa.

We have already sold ten tickets and the Early Bird pricing continues until May 31st. There is limited space at this event, and it is a wonderful opportunity to have a long visit when members connect on a deeper level.

The Western Celebration is in the planning stages and we hope to have a gathering in early October.  Stay tuned for an announcement of confirmed dates.
